Lanzarote in the wonderful Canary Islands continues to draw more visitors this holiday season despite the fact that this rise in tourist numbers is still played out up against a backdrop of recession and economic downturn. There are obviously other resorts on the island most notably Puerto Calero and Costa Teguise. But neither of those is going to match Playa Blanca or Puerto del Carmen for amenities and good value accommodation, making the latter resorts the number one option for a value villa break.
